专利说明:
DK 2020 70281 A1 1 A Lifting Trolley The present invention relates to a lifting trolley for lifting and transpor- tation of objects. These objects may be large, heavy, cumbersome, or in other ways inconvenient to lift and move around, such as boxes, furniture, building materials, and the like. At present, users, typically movers or care workers, who desire to lift and transport boxes, desks, tables, beds, or the like typically use a transport trolley or a sack truck where the object to be lifted and transported has to be manually lifted and/or pivoted onto the trolley or sack truck. This is cumbersome and laborious and may lead to injuries due to the often high weight and/or un- wieldiness of the object. At times, more than one person may be required to perform the lifting and/or pivoting. On this background, an object of the invention may be to improve on and/or solve one or more of these issues. A first aspect of the invention relates to a lifting trolley for lifting and transporting an object, such as a bed, the lifting trolley comprising: a base unit having a height extending in a height direction, a length extending in a length direction substantially perpendicular to the height direc- tion, and a width extending in a width direction substantially perpendicular to the height and the length direction, the base unit comprising one or more wheels and/or rollers for rolling on a surface supporting the lifting trolley and attached to an underside of the base unit; a pivotable holding frame for holding the object, the holding frame be- ing pivotably connected to the base unit to pivot about a pivot axis extending in the length direction, the holding frame, when viewed in the length direction, being substantially U-shaped with two substantially parallel side elements in- terconnected by a base element and with an open side opposite the base ele- ment, wherein the holding frame is pivotable at least between a loading position where the open side of the holding frame faces substantially in the width direc- tion, and a transportation position where the open side of the holding frame faces substantially in the height direction away from the underside; DK 2020 70281 A1 2 a pivotable support frame which is pivotably connected to the base unit and pivotable at least between a loading position where at least a part of the support frame contacts the surface supporting the lifting trolley, and a transpor- tation position where there is a distance between the support frame and the surface supporting the lifting trolley; a locking mechanism for locking the support frame in a locked state in the loading position and in the transportation position, respectively; and a lifting device with an extendable and retractable lifting element con- figured for attaching to and lifting the object to be loaded. In this way, the object may be lifted and transported without having to lift the object by manual labour. It may also be possible for one person/user to lift and/or transport objects otherwise not possible for one person/user to lift and/or transport. The base unit may be substantially plate-shaped. The base unit may be substantially rectangular or square. The base unit and/or holding frame and/or support frame may comprise or substantially consist of metal such as aluminium, steel, stainless steel, or the like. The one or more wheels and/or rollers may be caster wheels. The one or more wheels and/or rollers may be located substantially at the periphery of an underside of the base unit. At least one of the one or more wheels and/or rollers may be lockable and/or braked to substantially immobilize the lifting trol- ley. The lifting trolley may comprise four wheels and/or rollers. The base unit may comprise one wheel at each corner. The term “to substantially immobilize the lifting trolley” may be under- stood as to prevent the lifting trolley to move along the surface supporting the trolley. The position in the height direction of the holding frame may be adjust- able. In this way, the lifting trolley may be adapted for transportation and lifting of objects of different sizes. The position of the holding frame in the height di- rection may be adjustable telescopically e.g. through telescopically extending at least a part of the base unit in the height direction. The distance between the two substantially parallel sides of the DK 2020 70281 A1 3 holding frame may be adjustable. In this way the holding frame may be adapted for use with different size objects to be lifted and transported. The holding frame may be detachably attached to the base unit. In this way a different size holding frame may be attached to the base unit to adapt the lifting trolley to be used for lifting and transporting various objects. In the loading position, the support frame may support the lifting trolley during loading. The support frame may support at least a part of the weight of the lifting trolley. In the loading position the support frame may support at least a part of the weight of the object loaded into the holding frame. In the loading position, the support frame may support a majority of the weight of the lifting trolley and/or the object loaded into the holding frame. In the loading position, the support frame may substantially immobilize the lifting trolley. The support fame may comprise one or more feet for con- tacting the surface supporting the lifting trolley in the loading position of the support frame. The one or more feet may comprise or substantially consist of an anti-slip material, such as natural rubber, synthetic rubber etc. The one or more feet may be coated with an anti-slip coating. In the loading position at least a part of the support frame may be positioned in the height direction below the underside of the base unit. In the transportation position, the support frame may extend substan- tially in the height direction. In the transportation position, the support frame may support at least part of the weight of the object loaded into the holding frame. The support frame may comprise at least one stepped section. When seen in the length direction the support frame may have a stepped profile e.g. when seen in the length direction in the transportation position, a section of the support frame may have a profile with a contour resembling that of a step. In this way the holding frame may be loaded more easily as more clearance may be provided to the open side of the holding frame. The holding frame and the support frame may pivot in substantially the same direction. The holding frame and support frame may pivot through a sub- stantially equal angle and/or range of motion. The support frame may pivot DK 2020 70281 A1 4 about a pivot axis. The pivot axis of the support frame may be parallel to the pivot axis of the holding frame. The locking mechanism may be a pin and guide groove type locking mechanism. In an embodiment, the locking mechanism comprises at least one pin and guide groove system where a pin is guided in a guide groove with a first locking groove and a second locking groove, the pin being positioned in the first locking groove in the locked state in the transportation position of the sup- port frame, and in a second locking groove in the locked state in the loading position of the support frame. In this way, the support frame may be safely secured in the transportation position and the loading position, respectively. In a development of the previous embodiment the guide groove is piv- otally attached to the base unit and the pin is fixed on the support frame. In this way, the movement of the support frame may be securely guided. The locking mechanism may comprise a lock handle to actuate the locking and unlocking of the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism may lock the position of the support frame such that to move the support frame out of the locked state in the transportation position and into the loading position, the locking mechanism must be actuated through the lock handle. Similarly, in an embodiment, to move the support frame out of the locked state in the loading position and into the transportation position, the locking mechanism must be actuated through the lock handle. In a development of the previous embodiment the locking mechanism further comprises a lock handle that is attached to the pivotally attached guide groove. The guide groove and first and second locking grooves may be located in a guide plate. The guide plate may be pivotally attached to the base unit. The locking mechanism may comprise two pin and guide groove systems arranged at respective in the length direction opposite peripheral sides of the base unit. In this way the weight of the support frame may be shared between the two pin and guide groove systems. The two pins may be fixed to in the length direction opposite sides of the support frame. The two guide grooves may be pivotally DK 2020 70281 A1 attached to in the length direction oppositie sides of the base unit. The lock handle may be attached to the two pivotally attached guide grooves. The lock handle may be attached to both the pivotally attached guide grooves and/or guide plates through a bracket extending between and connected to the two 5 pivotally attached guide grooves and/or guide plates. In this way secure locking and operation of the support frame may be achieved. In a development of the previous embodiment, actuation of the lock handle pivots the pivotally attached guide groove. In this way the locking mech- anism may be conveniently and securely operated, and the position of the sup- port frame controlled. In a development of either of the previous two embodiments, actuation of the lock handle when the support frame is in the transportation position re- leases the support frame to move into the loading position. In this way operation of the lifting trolley may be efficient. Furthermore, the ease of use of the lifting trolley may be improved. In an embodiment, when the support frame reaches the transportation position, the pin enters the second locking groove, thereby locking the support frame in a locked state. In an embodiment, the base unit further comprises two substantially parallel side walls extending in the height direction from respective in the length direction opposite peripheral sides of the base unit, wherein at least a section of the holding frame extends across the two substantially parallel side walls. The holding frame may extend at least between the two side walls of base unit. The holding frame may extend at least the total length of the base unit of the lifting trolley. The holding frame may extend beyond the length of the base unit lifting trolley. The holding frame in the height direction may be positioned above the two substantially parallel side walls. The holding frame in the loading and/or transportation position may be positioned in the height direction above the two substantially parallel side walls. At least a section of the holding frame in the loading and/or transportation position may be positioned in the height direction above the two substantially parallel side walls. In the loading position the DK 2020 70281 A1 6 holding frame with a side element may rest on the base unit. In the loading position the holding frame may rest on side walls of the base unit. In the loading position of the holding frame at least a section of one of the side elements of the holding frame may rest on the sidewalls of the base unit. In this way the two substantially parallel side walls may act as stops for the pivoting of the holding frame, which may define the loading position of the holding frame. At least a section of the holding frame resting on the two substantially parallel side walls may at least support a part of the weight of the holding frame and the object loaded into the holding frame. Alternatively at least a section of the holding frame may rest on a bracket of the locking mechanism. The at least a section of the holding frame may be a side element of the holding frame. In a development of the previous embodiment, at least a section of the holding frame rests on the two substantially parallel side walls of the base unit in the transportation position and/or the loading position of the holding frame. The lifting device may comprise one or more pulleys. At least one of the one or more pulleys may be positioned in the height direction above the holding frame and/or the support frame in the respective transportation posi- tions. The one or more pulleys may guide the lifting element. The lifting device may comprise a spool for storage of the lifting element. The lifting device may be hand-operated. The lifting device may be hand-operated through a rotatable handle i.e. the lifting element may be extended and/or retracted by operation of the rotatable handle. Rotating the rotatable handle in a first direction may extend the lifting element. Rotating the rotatable handle in a second direction opposite the first direction may retract the lifting element. The lifting element may be extended and/or retracted by unwinding and/or winding. The lifting el- ement may be extended and/or retracted by unwinding and/or winding the lift- ing element on a spool. The lifting device may be power-assisted and/or driven by a drive unit such as an electric motor. The rotatable handle may be foldable between an unfolded lifting position and a folded transportation position. In this way the lifting trolley may be made more compact for transportation. The lifting device may feature an automatic brake mechanism braking DK 2020 70281 A1 7 the lifting element from extending and/or retracting unless the lifting device is operated. The automatic brake mechanism may comprise a directional brake. The automatic brake mechanism may act in both directions and/or may be switchable between directions. The automatic brake mechanism may comprise one or more ratchet mechanisms. The one or more ratchet mechanisms may act in the same or opposite directions. The lifting device may be positioned in the height direction above the holding frame and/or the support frame. In the transportation and/or loading position, the lifting element may be attached to the object loaded in the holding frame. In the transportation position and/or loading position, the lifting element may be secured to the object loaded into the holding frame to secure the object in the holding frame. The lifting element may support at least a part of the weight of the object loaded in the holding frame. The lifting element may comprise a clip, hook, carabiner, or the like for attachment to the object to be loaded and/or loaded into the holding frame. The elongated lifting element may be foldable and/or rollable and/or windable. The elongated lifting element may comprise one or more links and/or one or more interconnected sections. The lifting element may be a chain, wire, rope, string, band, belt, or the like. The lifting trolley may comprise a support structure extending in the height direction from the base unit. The support structure may extend substan- tially the entire length of the base unit. The support structure may extend farther in the height direction than the holding frame and/or the support frame in the loading position and/or in the transportation position. The lifting device may be attached to the support structure. At least one of the one or more pulleys may be attached to the support structure. The support structure may be located opposite the open side of the holding frame in the loading position. In this way, retracting the lifting element attached to the object loaded in the holding frame may pivot the holding frame from the loading position to the transportation position. The lifting element may be attached to the object to be loaded and retracted to pull the object into the holding frame in the loading position and thereby load the object into the holding frame. DK 2020 70281 A1 8 In an embodiment, in the locked state in the transportation position the support frame is positioned above the underside of the base unit and extends substantially in the height direction. In this way the lifting trolley may be made more compact for transpor- tation. Further, the support frame may further secure the object loaded in the holding frame in the transportation position. The support frame may further pro- vide support for the object loaded in the holding frame in the transportation position. In an embodiment, the support frame has a stepped profile when viewed in the length direction. A person skilled in the art will appreciate that one or more of the em- bodiments may be combined with one or more of the other embodiments. In the following, non-limiting exemplary embodiments will be described in greater detail with reference to the drawings, in which: Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a lifting trolley according to the in- vention with holding frame and support frame in transportation position; Fig. 2 shows a perspective view of the lifting trolley in Fig. 1 where the support frame is in the loading position; Fig. 3 shows a perspective view of the lifting trolley in Fig. 1 where both the holding frame and the support frame are in the loading position, Fig. 4 shows a perspective view of the lifting trolley in Fig. 3 with an object loaded into the holding frame, Fig. 5 shows a perspective view of the lifting trolley in Fig. 4 with an object loaded into the holding frame in the transportation position, and Fig. 6 shows a perspective view of the lifting trolley in Fig. 5 with the support frame in the transportation position. Looking at Fig. 1 a lifting trolley 1 for lifting and transporting an object is shown the lifting trolley comprises a base unit 2 having a height extending in a height direction H, a length extending in a length direction L substantially perpendicular to the height direction, and a width extending in a width direction W substantially perpendicular to the height and the length direction H, L. The base unit 2 comprises four caster wheels 21 attached to the underside of the DK 2020 70281 A1 9 base unit 2 for rolling on a surface S supporting the lifting trolley 1. The lifting trolley 1 further comprises a pivotable holding frame 3 for holding the object, the holding frame being pivotably connected to the base unit 2 to pivot about a pivot axis P extending in the length direction L. The holding frame 3 when viewed along the pivot axis P is substantially U-shaped with two side elements 31, 32 interconnected by a base element 33, and with an open side opposite the base element 33. The holding frame 3 is pivotable at least between a load- ing position where the open side of the holding frame 3 faces substantially in the width direction W, and a transportation position where the open side of the holding frame 3 faces substantially in the height direction H which is the position seen in Fig. 1. In this transportation position, the support frame 4 extends sub- stantially in the height direction H. The lifting trolley 1 further comprises a pivotable support frame 4 which is pivotably connected to the base unit 2 and pivotable at least between a load- ing position where at least a part of the support frame 4 contacts the surface S supporting the lifting trolley 1, and a transportation position which is the position seen in Fig. 1, where there is a distance between the support frame 4 and the surface S supporting the lifting trolley 1. Furthermore, the lifting trolley 1, com- prises a locking mechanism 5 for locking the support frame 4 in a locked state in the loading position and in the transportation position, respectively, and a lifting device 6 with an extendable and retractable lifting element 61 for attach- ing to and lifting the object 7 to be loaded. The lifting device is attached to a support structure 8 that extends in the height direction H from the base unit 2. The support structure 8 extends substantially the entire length L of the base unit 2 and extends farther in the height direction H than the holding frame 3 and the support frame 4 in both the loading position and the transportation position. The base unit 2 is substantially plate-shaped and substantially rectan- gular and similar to the holding frame 3 and support frame 4 substantially con- sists of stainless steel. The lifting trolley further comprises two substantially parallel side walls 22, 23 extending in the height direction H from respective in the length direction L opposite peripheral sides of the base unit 2. A section of the holding frame 3 extending across the two substantially parallel side walls DK 2020 70281 A1 10 22, 23. The holding frame 3 in the height direction H is positioned above the two substantially parallel side walls 22, 23. A section of the holding frame 3 rests on the two substantially parallel side walls 22, 23 of the base unit 2 in the loading position of the holding frame 3. In this way the two substantially parallel side walls 22, 23 act as stops for the pivoting of the holding frame 3 defining the loading position of the holding frame 3 and support a part of the weight of the holding frame 3 and the object 7 loaded into the holding frame 3 (see Figs. 4-6). The four caster wheels 21 are located substantially at the periphery of an underside of the base unit 2, in this case substantially at the corners of the substantially rectangular base unit 2. The wheels are lockable through a brake (not shown) to substantially immobilize the lifting trolley 1. In some embodiments the position in the height direction H of the hold- ing frame 3 and the distance between its two side elements 31, 32 is adjustable to allow the lifting trolley 1 to be adapted for lifting and transportation of different shapes and sizes of objects. In some embodiments these adjustments are through telescopic adjustment (not shown). In other embodiments, the holding frame 3 is detachably attached to the base unit 2 allowing holding frames of different sizes to be attached to the base unit 2 to adapt the lifting trolley 1 to be used for lifting and transporting various objects. The lifting trolley shown in Figs. 1-6 is adapted to lift and transport specific objects and is not adjustable in height or distance between the two side elements 31, 32 of the holding frame 3. Turning to Fig. 2, the lifting trolley of Fig. 1 is shown with the support frame 4 in the loading position. As can be seen, the support frame 4 contacts the surface S supporting the lifting trolley 1, here through the feet 41, thereby substantially immobilizing the lifting trolley preventing it from moving around during loading. The feet 4 comprise an anti-slip material in the form of synthetic rubber to increase the grip between the feet 4 and the surface S supporting the lifting trolley 1. As seen in the embodiment shown, in the loading position a part of the support frame 4 is positioned in the height direction H below the under- side of the base unit 2. The support frame 4 is stepped i.e. when seen in the DK 2020 70281 A1 11 length direction the profile of the support frame 4 is stepped and comprises a stepped section providing clearance to the holding frame 3 and allowing it to be loaded more easily. As seen in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, in the loading position the holding frame 3 rests on the base unit 2. The holding frame 3 extends across the two side walls 31, 32. The holding frame 3 and the support frame 4 pivot in substantially the same direction through a substantially equal angle and range of motion. In the loading position, the support frame 4 supports the lifting trolley 1 during loading and supports at least a part of the weight of the object loaded into the holding frame 3. The locking mechanism 5 comprises two pin and guide groove sys- tems where a pin 51 (only one is shown in Figs. 1-3 and Figs. 5-6) is guided in a guide groove 52 with a first locking groove 53 and a second locking groove 54, the pin 51 being positioned in the first locking groove 53 in the locked state in the transportation position of the support frame 4, and in a second locking groove 54 in the locked state in the loading position of the support frame 4. The guide groove 52 is pivotally attached to the base unit 2 and the pins 54 are fixed on the support frame 4. In this way, the movement of the support frame 4 may be securely guided. The locking mechanism 5 comprises a lock handle 55 to actuate the locking and unlocking of the locking mechanism 5. The locking mechanism 5 locks the position of the support frame 4 such that to move the support frame 4 out of the locked state in the transportation position and into the loading position, the locking mechanism must be actuated through the lock handle 55. Similarly, to move the support frame 4 out of the locked state in the loading position and into the transportation position, the locking mechanism must be actuated through the lock handle 55. The lock handle 55 is attached to the pivotally attached guide grooves 52. The guide groove 52 and first and second locking grooves 53, 54 are located in a guide plate 56. The guide plate 56 is pivotally attached to the base unit 2. The two pin and guide groove sys- tems are arranged at and pivotally attached to respective in the length direction L opposite peripheral sides of the base unit 2. In this way the weight of the support frame 4 is shared between the two pin and guide groove systems. The DK 2020 70281 A1 12 two pins 51 are fixed to in the length direction L opposite sides of the support frame 4. The lock handle 55 is attached to both the pivotally attached guide grooves 52 and guide plates 56 through a bracket 57 extending between and connected to the two pivotally attached guide grooves 52 and guide plates 56. Actuation of the lock handle 55 pivots the pivotally attached guide grooves 52 and guide plates 56. Actuation of the lock handle 55 when the support frame 4 is in the transportation position as seen in Fig. 1 and Fig. 6 releases the support frame 4 to move into the loading position seen in Fig. 2-5. When the support frame 4 reaches the transportation position the pin 51 enters the second locking groove 54, thereby locking the support frame 4 in a locked state. Similarly, upon the support frame 4 reaching the transportation position, the pin 51 enters the first locking groove 53 thereby locking the support frame 4 in a locked state as seen in Fig. 1 and Fig. 6. To release the pin 51 from the first and/or second locking groove 53, 54, and the locked state, respectively, requires the lock han- dle 55 to be actuated. The lifting device 6 comprises a spool 64 for storage of the lifting ele- ment 61, in this embodiment a steel wire with a carabiner 65. The lifting device 6 further comprises a pulley 62 attached to the support structure 8 in the height direction H above the holding frame 3 and support frame 4, the pulley 61 guid- ing the lifting element 61. The lifting device 6 in the shown embodiment is hand- operated through a rotatable handle 63 i.e. the lifting element 61 is extended and retracted by operation of the rotatable handle 63. Rotating the rotatable handle 63 in a first direction extends the lifting element 61 and rotating the rotatable handle 63 in a second direction opposite the first direction retracts the lifting element 61. The lifting element 61 is extended and retracted by unwind- ing and winding on the spool 64. The rotatable handle 63 is foldable between an unfolded lifting position and a folded transportation position (not shown). In this way the lifting trolley 1 can be made more compact for transportation. In other embodiments the lifting device 6 may be power-assisted and/or driven by adrive unit such as an electric motor. The lifting device 6 features an automatic brake mechanism braking the lifting element 61 from extending and retracting unless the lifting device 6 DK 2020 70281 A1 13 is operated. The automatic brake mechanism acts in both directions. In the transportation and loading position, the lifting element 61 can be attached to the object 7 loaded in the holding frame 4 to secure the object in the holding frame 4. When attached, the lifting element 61 may support at least a part of the weight of the object 7 loaded in the holding frame 3. Retracting the lifting element 61 attached to the object 7 loaded in the holding frame 3 as seen in Fig. 4, lifts and pivots the holding frame 3 from the loading position to the trans- portation position as seen in Fig. 5. To load an object 7 into the holding frame in the loading position, the lifting element 61 can be attached to the object 7 to be loaded and then re- tracted to pull the object 7 into the holding frame 3 thereby load the object into the holding frame 3. Continuing to retract the lifting element 61 thereby lifting the object 7, will then cause the holding frame 3 to pivot from the loading posi- tion into the transportation position as described above to reach the position as seen in Fig. 5, with the lifting element 61 securing the object 7 and holding frame 3 in position. To move the lifting trolley 1, the support frame 4 in the loading position is brought out of the locked state by actuating the lock handle 55 and moved into the transportation position where it locks into the locked state as described above and as seen in Fig. 6. In the locked state in the trans- portation position the support frame 6 is positioned above the underside of the base unit 2 and extends substantially in the height direction H and further se- cures the object 7 loaded in the holding frame 3. The lifting trolley 1 and the object 7 loaded therein can now be conveniently moved. Upon reaching the desired location, unloading of the object 7 from the lifting trolley 1 is then done by bringing the support frame 4 from the locked state transportation position into the locked state loading position as described above, and then lowering the object 7 loaded in the holding frame 3 by extending and unwinding the lifting element 61 by rotating the rotatable handle 63 in the respective direction, caus- ing the holding frame 3 to pivot from the transportation position and into the loading position. The lifting element 61 may then be detached from the object 7 through the carabiner 65 and the object 7 is free to be unloaded off the lifting trolley 1 and moved as desired.
